The Examination of William Stafford Gent taken in behalfe of the Commonwealth concearnin{g} <16> Richard Dake of Morrintowne in the County of Waxford Gentleman
<to the first interro:> he sath that the said Richard did in the first yeare of the warr liue at morrintowne aforesaid and euersince dureinge the warr to this day hath Continued there and sath that the <m> said Richard might haue remoued himeselfe int{o} the English Quarters as the English did but not without danger of the losse of his estate as this deponent conceaueth

<to the 3 interro> sath that the said Richard Dake did in the first yeare of the warr and before the 10th of Nouember 1642 did actually Contribute <n> in the publicke Taxes of the Countrye as this deponant Conceaueth for the Iris{h} forces

<to the 5th interro:> sath that he is Confident that that the said Dake was present atte seauerall metting{s} <o> in order to the Chusinge of members for the Nationall asembles

<to the 7th interro> sath that he is Confident that the said Richard did take and subscribe the <p> oath of association it being a generall thin{g} imposed on all persons
