Nicholas Connor of Ballivellegh aged abou{t} sixty yeares being sworne & examined <d> Concerning the foresaid Michaell Connor deceased saith as followeth vizt
That the said Michaell dwelt at Colroe in the Irish quarters all the time of the rebellyon and did not thence remooue into the english quarters and that the deponent did see the said Michaell (who was the deponents coussen german) at the publicque meetings of the said Barrony of Ballaghkeen in the first yeare of the rebellyon in order to rayse men for defence of the Countrey: And that the said Michaell was cheife receiuer in the middle quarter of Ballaghkeen of the Irish leuyes in th{e}

first or seacond yeere of the said rebellyon which were raysed for maintenance of the Irish forces against the english The deponents cause of knowledge is in that the deponent paid his proporcion of the said Leuyes to the subcollectors appointed by the said Michaell to receiue the said leuyes accordingly: and that the said Michaell had two sons the eldest whereof by Namely Thomas Connor <whom this deponent> tooke vp did see in Armes for the Irish against the english before & after the accesse of the english forces to the said County of Wexford & soe Continued till the Irish submitted and layd downe Armes vpon Articles and then the said Thomas went to Spaine togeather with the Irish forces that transported <e> themselues thither for the Spanish service The deponents cause of knowledge is for that the said Thomas was of kinne to this deponent as aforesaid & for that the said Thomas told the deponent that he was a Leiutenant & intended to goe in Company with the Irish to Spayne as aforesaid & went accordinglie and further saith not &c
