The examinacion of James Synnott of Templeshannon gent: aged fiftie yeares or thereabouts, taken vpon oath on the behalfe of the Comonwealth Concerning Jesper Connor of Garrimoyle in the barrony of Ballaghkeen and County of Wexford gent
<To the first Inter> The Deponent saith the said Jesper dwelt at Garrimoyle aforesaid distant about two miles from the deponents habitacion all the <t> time of the rebellyon and did not thence remooue into the english quarters as the english & protestants thereabouts did
<To the 2d inter> The deponent saith nothing
<To the 3d 4th inter> The deponent saith that the said Jesper did according to his abillity Contribute to the publicque chardges for maintenance of <u> the Irish forces as this deponent & the whole Countrey generally and without excepcion did the first yeare of the rebellyon and since
<To the 5th interr> The deponent saith that he did see the said Jesper frequently at the publicque meetings of the Irish assembled in the said barrony in the first yeere & since in order to promote the said rebellyon against the english
<To the 6th Interr> The deponent saith that he beleiues the said Jesper was with and <w> voted in the election of members for the generall assemblyes, in that he was a gentleman & freeholder
<To the 7th 8th Interr> Hee Cannot depose
<To the 9th interr> The deponent saith that the said Jesper acted in the Capacity of a priuate souldyer in the Company & vnder the Comand of Captain Peirce Murchoe for the Irish against the english in the Collonell Cauanaghs Regiment & soe Continued till the said <x> Regiment submitted vpon Articles and sithence is gone for Spaine The deponents cause of knowledge is for that the said Jesper Connor Came with his Captayne & plundered this deponent & carryed him bound to the bogg of Bowyer since the Lord Cromwells Accesse at which time the deponent was vnder the protecion of the english
