E d John Curteis of Killmanogue in the said County gent aged about thyrty yeares taken being sworne and examined touching the said James Bryan of the Skarre & Longgraige
Vpon the whole matter of the Interrogatoryes the examinant deposeth and saith that the said James Bryan in the first beginning of the rebellyon about Hallantide in the yeare 1641: came with a partie of men Consisting of about forescore (whereof he was Comander or Leader) to Killmannouogg & Kilmakee two farmes or places inhabited by the deponents mother an english woeman) & then & there seized on twenty stakes of corne or thereabouts of the proper goods of the examinants said mother & the same being seized; the said James came into the said howse & tooke away two bedsteds being all the goods that there were left, all the rest of the deponents mothers goods being plundered & taken away by the said James Bryans brother who came before the said James & in his name & rifled the said howse & saith that the selfe same day that the said James seized on the said [ ] Corne he was met by Lieutenant Esmond of the forte of Duncannon & by fight was killed & further saith not &c
