Richard Hore of Clone deposeth that in the beginning of the rebellyon the deponent was An houshould seruant to the said Richard Wadding of Ballicogley from whom he receiued a sword & a pike And that about Easter in the said first yeare the deponent was sent by his said master (Armed as aforesaid) to Bourkstowne or Shilbeggan to serue as a souldyer in the Company of Captain Thomas Roscester of Rathmacknee whither this Deponent went accordinglie & Continued & serued as a souldier about the space of a forthnight during which time one Leiutenant Treinsoe with a partie of english bellonging to the forte of Duncannon were killed by parte of the said Roscesters Company and others, & afterwardes the deponent returned to his said Master Richard Wadding, & abode with him in his seruice about a twelue moneth after where the deponent had entertainment & wages: And further saith that about whitsontide following in the said first yeare the deponent was Comanded by his said first Master Richard Wadding to goe to the howse of Mr Nicholas Codd to Castletowne, whither this deponent went & then & there receiued a musquet of his said master & William Esmond of Johnstowne, where the deponent abode with others about six weekes & had his victualls from William Codd brother to the said Nicholas Codd then fled & further saith not &c
