John Keating of Baldenstowne gent aged thirty one yeares or thereabouts being sworne & examined touching the aforesaid John Barry saith & deposeth That the said John dwelt at Kilkeanan after the Lord generall Cromwells accesse to the said County & the taking of Wexford as a protected person vnder the Nocion of the generall protecion for the barr but did Im not long after & Imediately vpon the murdering of eleauen troopers <vnder> of Major Pembertons Comand (who were killed in <m> the howse of Kilkeanan aforesaid) fly into the forte of Duncannon then kept by the Irish against the english <and alsoe> one Richard Stafford (with whom the said John then dwelt in whose howse the said troopers were killed, hauing <who> had an hand in that murther) where he the said John Barry Continued till the said forte was surrendered to Collonell Cooke & further saith not &c
