The examinacion of William Stafford gent taken vpon oath on the behalfe of the Comonwealth Concerning Richard Whitty of Littlekillyane in the County of Wexford gent
<To the 1st Inter> The deponent saith that the said Richard dwelte at Littlekillyane aforesaid or not far from itt the first yeare of the warre being then & sometyme since <z> of the Irish quarters and did not remooue himselfe into the english quarters as he might haue done, but not without losse of his estate as the deponent conceiueth
<To the 2d Interr> he cannot depose
<To the 3d Interr> Hee deposeth and saith that he verily beleiues that the said Richard did as well during the said first yeare as since contribute his proporcion of all publicque leuyes <a> Imposed on the Countrey for maintenance of the Irish forces against the english
<To the 4: 5 & 6> he cannot depose
<To the 7th Interr> he saith that he beleiueth that the said Richard Whitty did take the oath of associacion as the gentry of the Countrey generally did
<To the 8th Interr> he cannot depose
<To the 9th Interr> the deponent saith that the said Whitty was a collector of the the cesse in the barrony of forte in the yeare 1644 for <b> the vse of the Irish Army, & was likewise (as the deponent <b> beleiues) one of the high constables in that barrony that said yeare 1644:
<To the 10th Interr> [Ty] the deponent saith that the said Richard had a son named ffrancis Whitty which said ffrancis as the deponent credibly heard went vnto and was in actuall Armes with the Irish against the english after the Lord Cromwells accesse to this County & after the said Richard with others of the County were receiued into protecion
