The Examinacion of Shane oge Murcho of ffernes gent aged sixtie three yeares or thereabouts taken vpon oath on the behalfe of the Comonwealth Concerning Peirce Synnott of Ballihownmore in the barrony of Ballaghkeen & County of wexford gent deceased vpon the Interrogatoryes annexed to the Commission of inquiry
<To the 1st Inter> The Deponent saith that the said Peirce Dwelt at Ballehownmore in the barrony and County aforesaid the first yeare of the rebellyon and sithence and did not <q> thence remooue into the english quarters as Sir Walsingham Cooke knight & other protestants in them partes did: His cause of knowledge is for that the deponent dwelt nigh the said Peirce for along time
<To the 2d inter> Hee Cannot depose
<To the 3d & 4th> The deponent saith that he is Confident the said Peirce did actually Contribute to the raysing of men and <r> prouiding maintenance & Armes for them for th{at} it was a generall thing, as well the first yeare of the Rebellyon as sithence in order to oppose and Resist the english.
<To the 5th inter> The Deponent saith that hee did see the said Peirce at the publicque meetings of the Irish that assembled in the said barrony of Ballaghkeen in order to the <s> forwarding and carrying on the said Rebellyon again{st} the english interest as well in the first yeare o{f} the said Rebellyon as sithence
<To the 6: 7: 8 & 9th interr> Hee Cannot Depose
<To the 10th inter> The Deponent saith that the said Peirce had a brother Na{med} Gerrot Synnot who dwelt in the Irish quarters ne{ere} <t> to this deponent all the time of the rebellyon which Gerrot this deponent did see the said at the publicq{ue} meetings of the Irish as well the first yeare o{f the} said Rebellyon as since & that the said Gerrot had frequent Correspondency with his said brother Pei{rce}
