James Peirce of Ballell gent aged fortie yeares or therabouts being duely sworne & examined Concerning the within said Marcus Synnot of Rosgarland gent deposeth that he did see the said Marcus with a Company of men in Armes vnder his Comand to the Number of three score at least whereof he the said Marcus was Captaine & one Martyne Synnot (with whom the deponent was well acquainted) his Leiutenant Joyning with the Irish that layd seige to Duncannon which was about ffebruary 1641: & the deponent did seauerall times after that, during that seige, see the said Marcus & his Company in Armes against Duncannon as <y> aforesaid: And the examinant further deposeth that he did see the said Marcus at the fight of Ballibegg neere Rosse in ffebruary or March 1642 with his the said Marcus his Company in Armes as aforesaid where many of the english were killed & further cannot depose
