The examinacion of Patricke Lacy of Eniscorthy yeoman aged fifty yeares or thereabouts taken vpon oath on the behalfe of the Comonwealth Concerning Bryan รด Deoran of Ballivurrey gent deceased
<To the 1st Interr> The Examinant Deposeth that the said Bryan dwelt at Ballivurrey in the Irish quarters the first yeare & the whole time of the Rebellyon and did not thence remooue into the english <k> quarters as Katheryne Manwairing a protestant & other english and protestants his nigh neighbours did: His cause of knowledge is in that the deponent dwelt within a mile & an halfe to the said Bryans habitacion
<To the 2d interr> Hee cannot depose
<To the 3d & 4th inter> The deponent saith that the said Bryan did actually Contribute monyes in the first yeare of the rebellion to the Irish for carrying on the Rebellyon against the english This deponents <l> cause of knowledge is for that the deponent was a subcollector of the Irish leuyes in that yeare & knoweth that the said leuyes were soe generall that none were excused from the payment thereof
<To the 5th interr> The deponent saith that he did frequently see the said Bryan at the publicque meetings of the Barrony of Balliaghkeen in the first yeare of the Rebellyon, at which meetings the leuyes were established & collectors & such petty officer{s} <m> appointed for carrying in the Rebellyon against the english & to this deponents sure knowledge some of the said meetings were vpon the said Bryans landes and neere his howse
<To the Rest of the> Interrogatoryes he Cannot depose: But being demanded touching the said Bryans carriage and demeanour since the Lord generall Cromwells accesse to the County of wexford , saith that there being a generall order that all persons should remooue with out of the said Barrony of Ballaghkeen & other places <n> frequented by the Irish Rebells the said Bryan in Contempt of the said order Continued in the said Barrony neere to the boggs of Bowyer & Ittai the Receptacle & place of Concourse of the Rebells, where he the said Bryan was taken and executed by Captain Bolton being soe found in the enemyes quarters Contrary to the said order.
