The Examinacion of Edward Synnot of Dungulph gentleman aged thirtie one yeares or thereabouts taken vpon oath on the behalfe of the Comonwealth Concerning Arthur Synnot of Bowlemore in the barronie of Ballaghkeen & Countie of wexford gentleman vpon the Interrogatoryes Exhibited on the behalfe of the Comonwealth.
<To the 1st Inter> The Examinant deposeth and saith That the said Arthur dwelt at Bowlemore in the barronie & Countie aforesaid in the Irish quarters the first yeare & the whole time of the rebellyon without remoouing himselfe thence into the english quarters as Sir Walsingham <b> Cooke knight and sundry other english & protestants nigh neighbours to the said Arthur did The Deponents cause of knowledge is for that the Deponent was diuers times during the said first yeare & afterwardes at the said Arthurs howse & elsewhere in his the said Arthurs Companie
<To the 2d Inter> Hee cannot depose
< To the 3d Inter> The Deponent saith That he is verily perswaded that the said Arthur did in the first yeare of the rebellyon contribut{e} <c> to all taxes & Imposicions raysed for the aduance & maintenance of the Irish forces
<To the 4th Inter> Hee cannot depose
<To the 5th Inter> The Deponent saith That in the first yeare of the said rebellyon the Deponent did see the said Arthur at the publicque meetings in the towne of wexford of <d> the Irish thither assembled to Sir Morgan Cauanagh at which meetings the Deponent beleiues the Irish vsed to consulte of the ordering of their affayres & designes against the english
<To the 6: 7th 8 & 9th Inters> Hee cannot depose
<To the 10th Inter> The deponent saith That the said Arthur had two brothers by Name Michaell & Peirce which said Michaell was in the <e> beginning of the rebellyon a Captaine and had the Comand of a foote Companie for the Irish against the english in the Regiment of Sir Morgan Cauanagh to whom this deponent was then seruant & that the deponent did see the said Michaell frequentlie marching in the

head of the said companie with other forces vnder the said Sir Morgans Comand at their goeing forth vponn seruice at d f seauerall times & especiallie the deponent did see the said Michaell march with the said forces in forme & manner aforesaid to the fight at Ballibegg: And the deponent saith That the said Michaell continued acting against the english in that and other Capacities all the time of the rebellyon, & vntill he was killed which was since the english Armies accesse to the said Countie of wexford: And further saith That as well during the first yeare as sithence the deponent did see the said Michaell at the said Arthurs howse & in <f> his Companie, & cherished, releiued & harboured by him as a brother, And that after the said Michaells decease the said Peirce Synnot tooke vpon him the Comand of the Companie late vnder his said brothers chardge as he credibly heard
