Edmond Synnot late of Garriniske gentleman aged twenty seaven yeares or thereabouts Deposeth Concerning the said Arthur Synnot of Bowlemore gentleman That the said Arthur dwelt at Bowlemore aforesaid in the Irish quarters the first yeare & the residue of the Rebellyon without remoouing himselfe into the english quarters as the english <&> protestants Inhabiting in and neere that barronie did, to which said Arthur the deponent was A nigh neighbour during the whole time of the said Rebellyon And further saith That the deponent did see the said Arthur at diuers publicque meetings of the Irish held & assembled <in &> for the said barronie of Ballaghkeene during seauerall yeares of the Rebellyon And further saith That the said Arthur had two <g> brothers Namely Michaell & Peirce Synot which said Michaell was during the warre a Captaine for the Irish against the english & did vsually quarter his Companie & receiue contribucion and maintenance for his said souldyers in the village & quarter where the Deponent dwelt some of them vsing to quarter at the deponents howse & in that capacity the said Michaell Continued till he was killed by some of Collonell Cookes partie, And after hee that after the said Michaells decease the said Peirce the other brother tooke vp Armes & went with a partie of the Irish <h> to or towardes Gallway & continued acting in Armes against the english, till the Irish submitted vpon articles & further saith That the said Michaell held correspondencie with the said Arthur his brother during his the said Michaells actings aforesaid which the deponent hath seen & knowne & further saith not
