The examinacion of Shane oge Murchoe of ffernes gent aged sixty three yeares or thereabouts taken vpon oath on the behalfe of the Comonwealth Concerning Teig Murcho of Taborlemoned in the barrony of Ballaghkeen & County of wexford gent deceased
The Examinant saith & Deposeth that he well knew the said Teig for that he was a kinsman to this deponent and that the said Teig did act and abet the said rebellyon in the first beginning thereof And in token of his forwardnes & affection to the said Irish cause did Rayse a Company of men in the barrony middle quarter of the barrony of Ballaghkeen vpon the borders wherof the deponent dwelt & with his said Company in Armes Marched into the County of Dublin & therevpon <p> some fight or skirmish between the english & the Irish the said Teig was killed: The being then in actuall Armes against the english, The deponents cause of knowledge is for that the said Teig at his departure towardes the County of Dublin tooke leau{e} of this deponent & told the deponent whethe that he was bound thither vpon the Irish seruice & for that the deponent was informed by some of the said Teigs souldyers that Returned from the said fight that the said Teig was killed slayne in manner aforesaid and further Cannot depose
