The examinacion of James Neuill of Tallakenna gent aged thirty yeares or thereabouts taken vpon oath Concerning the foresaid Nicholas Mayler of Duncormick{e} esquire
<To the 1st inter> The Deponent saith that the said Nicholas dwelt at Duncormicke in the County of Wexford in the Irish quarters the whole time of the rebellion & thence did not remooue into the english quarters as seauerall english & protestants in the said County did: And the deponent saith that at one Sessions of the peace held in the townehall in wexford shortely after the rebellion brake forth (but the yeare & time certayne the deponent cannot at present call to minde) the said Nicholas was earnestly solliciting the then Councell or Justices <z> for some Imployment, what the the Imployment or office by him desired was the examinant cannot remember, but knoweth that the said Nicholas was denied the place soe by him sollicited or desired. His cause of knowledge is for that the deponent was in court & heard the said Nicholas make a mocion in that behalfe to the Councell or Justices aforesaid & further saith not
