The examinacion of Shane oge Murcho of ffernes gent aged Sixty three yeares or thereabouts taken vpon oath on the behalfe of the Comonwealth Concerning Tirlagh Murchoe of Dundrum in the barrony of Ballaghkeen and County of wexford gent deceased vpon the Interrogatoryes annexed to the Commission of enquiry
<To the 1st Inter> The Examinant deposeth that the said Tirlagh dwelt at Dundrum in the barrony of and County aforesaid Distant about <foure> miles from the deponents habitacion: And from thence the said Tirlagh did not remooue into the english quarters <c> as Sir walsingham Cooke knight & other protestants that dwelt in them partes did His cause of knowledge appeares in that the deponent dwelt within foure miles to the said Tirlagh as aforesaid
<To the 2d interr> Hee Cannot depose
<To the 3d & 4th> The deponent saith that he beleiues the said Tirlaugh did actually Contribute to the publicque Leuyes of the Irish against the english in the first yeare of the rebellyon & <d> since as well for Raysing of men as prouisions in that the said leuyes were generall [ ]
<To the 5th inter> The deponent saith that he did see the said Tirlagh at the publicque meetings of the Irish at Ballaghkeen the vsuall meeting place of the Irish assemblyes in the first yeare of the Rebellyon & since in order to aduance and carry on the said Rebellyon against the english
<To the 6th 7th 8th & 9th Inter> Hee Cannot depose
< To the 10th Inter> The deponent saith that the said Tirlaugh had a sonne by Name Marcus Murchoe whom this deponent hath seen at the said publicque meetings of the Irish as well <e> the first yeare of the rebellyon as since with his father the foresaid Tirlaugh Murchoe with whom the said Marcus had Correspondency as a sonne.
<To the Rest of the> Interrogatoryes he Cannot depose & further saith not
