The examinacion of Sir Walsingham Cooke knight aged sixtie yeares or thereabouts taken vpon oath on the behalfe of the Comonwealth Concerning the foresaid Tirlagh Murchoe of Dundrum gent deceased and Marcus his sonneThe Examinant being duely sworne & examined saith that about the [ ] of Nouember 1641: this E xaminant and his english tennants flying to wexford from their respecti u e habitacions from the fury of the Rebells that were then Risen in Armes in them partes & vpon their Journ ye ing between their said dwellings & wexford they this examinants tennants were intercepted & violently plundered and stripped out of their seauerall wearing garments by the said Tirlagh Murcho, Marcus his sonne and others of their confederacie that were then in Armes with them, of which action this <h> Deponent was [ ] noe spectator, but escaped from their cruelty this deponent being on horse backe but afterwardes the said Respectiue persons came to this deponent to wexford all stripped out of their rayment and at their goeing towardes England were cast away vpon the barre of wexford to the Number of about seavenscore persons
