The Examinacion of William Talbott of wexford yeoman aged fortie nyne yeares or thereabouts taken vpon oath on the behalfe of the Comonwealth Concerning Tirlagh Murcho of Dundrum in the barronie of Ballaghkeen and Countie of wexford gent deceased
The Examinant saith that in the beginning of the rebellion about Nouember 1641: Marcus Murcho sonne to the said Tirlagh and Breine Murcho his the said Tirlaghs brother came to the landes of Tomduffe the estate of the said Sir Walsingham Cooke knight and from thence did take and carry away of the proper goodes of the said Sir Walsingham Cooke the Number of seauenscore head of cattle which they carrryed to the howse of the said Tirlagh Murpho whether this Examinant goeing and enquiring of the said Tirlagh what <g> was the cause wherefore the said cattle were taken away and brought to his the said Tirlaughs howse hee the said Tirlaugh answeared the deponent That his the said Tirlaughs sonne and brother had brought away the said cattle for the vse of the Irish Armie and further saith n ut That the said cattle or some of them where at that time and a good while after kept by the said Tirlaugh and made vse of by him & further saith not &c
