William Talbott of wexford yeoman aged fortie nyne yeares or thereabouts Deposeth concerning the said Allexander Murphy of BallJames: That this Examinant being seruant to the said Sir walsingham Cooke knight in the beginning of the rebellyon & hauing wayted [On] the said Sir walsingham till the [ ] hee had taken shipping for england hee this Examinant coming backe to Tomduffe (where his said masters dwelling was) and finding the same possest by Thomas Masterson This Examinant demanded of the said Masterson some of his owne or his Masters goods for his releife whereupon the said Masterson wished this Deponent to wayte vpon him the next daie to Carnow which this deponent <d> accordingly did, And being come nigh Carnow the Examinant did see a great Number of the Irish in Armes beseiging the said Castle of Carnow, which was then kept by some english of which beseigers the said Allexander was one And this Deponent did see him there in Armes among the rest of that Company and further saith not that the said seige was laid and the Examinant did see the said Allexander and the rest of his Confederates there in Armes in or about the moneth of Nouember 16541 and further saith not &c
