The Examinacion of Patricke Wicken of Carroghcloe yeoman aged fortie foure yeares or thereabouts taken vpon oath on the behalfe of the Comonwealth Concerning Peirce Synnot of Cranebredy in the barronie of Goary and Countie of Wexford gent deceased
The Examinant saith That the said Peirce Synnott about the Hallantide 1641: accompanied with his sonne Nicholas Synnott Nicholas Stafford & Edmond Synnott of Garriniske all in Armes came to the howse and landes of Corroghtloe the estate of Adam Waller a protestant minister which was then lately sould by the said Peirce to Apollo the said Adams father for six hundred poundes or <x> thereabouts as he heard And thither being come he the said Peirce & his said Confederates in an hostile manner turned the deponents father, this deponent & his familie thereout & kept possession thereof & of all the goods and Chattles therein as well those bellonging to the said Adam Waller as them which appertained to this deponents father there being good store of houshould goods therein at that time & saith That the said Peirce came & dwelte on the said Landes & in the foresaid howse & made vse thereof & of the said houshould goods the whole time of the Rebellyon without giuing the deponents father any manner of satisfacion for the goods by him taken away in manner aforesaid <y> The Deponents cause of knowledge is for that the deponent was with his said father all the time of the Rebellyon, & at that instant when he was dispossest of the said howse & goods in manner aforesaid and further saith not &c
