The Examinacion of Nicholas mc Dermott of Litlekillian aged 24 yeares taken vpon Oath on the behalfe of the Comonwealth concerninge Piers Synnott of Cranebready gent deceased in the Barony of Gory & County of Wexford
The Examinate to the whole matter Saith that he well knew the said Piers Synnott liveinge in Cranebready aforesaid and all the tyme of the Rebellion and did not remove into the English quarters as Mr Waller minister and diuerse others did which liued neere vnto him that weere forced to fly the cause of this <z> deponents knowledge is that about hallontide 1641 the said Piers with Nicholas Stafford then of Garinsky and Edmond Synnott with others came in an hostile manner armed vnto the lands and house of Corroghalloe then kept by John Wickin a protestant for Mr Waller{s} vse the deponent then being a servant to the said Wickin was thrust out with the rest of his fellow servants of the house and his mistris beinge not willinge to give them possession receaued a hurt vpon her hand with strugling with them where they then possed themselues of all the goodes and houshould stuffe with the Land to a very great vallue which the said Piers kept all the tyme of the Rebellion from the said Adam Waller whose father had formerly purchased the same from the said Piers Synnott for a great Sume of monney which the deponent cannot certainly tell: And further cannot depose
