The Examinacion of Arthur Cheeuers of Ballimader gent Aged thirty six yeares or thereabouts taken vpon oath on the behalfe of the Comonwealth Concerning Jesper Prendergast of Gurchins in the County of Wexford gent deceased
<To the 1st Inter> The Examinant Deposeth & saith that the said Jesper Prendergast dwelt at Gurchins in the said County in the Irish quarters the first yeare of the rebellion & afterwardes till he died & did not thence remooue into the english quarters as Nicholas Row & other protestants Liuing neere him <o> the said Jesper did, His cause of knowledge is for that the deponent dwelt about three miles distant from the said Jespers habitacion & was well acquainted with him the said Jesper.
<To the 2d interr> Hee cannot depose
<To the 3d & 4th Interr> The examinant deposeth & saith that the said Jesper Prendergast did act in the rebellyon as a priuate gentleman in the first yeare of the same The deponents cause of knowledge is for that the deponent hath seen the said Jesper in Armes about Christmas 1641: & about the Aprill <p> then following amongst the Irish then beseiging of the forte of Duncannon wherein the Lord Esmond & the english then kept
