The Examinacion of Vrsula Row wife to Nicholas Row of Bridgetowne in the County of wexford gent aged about sixty yeares or thereabouts taken vpon oath on the behalfe of the Comonwealth Concerning the foresaid Jesper Prendergast of Gurchins gent deceased
<Vpon> the whole matter of the Interrogatoryes the examinant saith that the said Jesper was an actiue man in the [ ] abetting & carrying on the rebellyon in the first yeare thereof <r> & the said Jesper in testimony of his forwardnes was with & of a partie of the Irish in Armes that killed a par a certaine Number of the english bellonging to the forte of Duncannon at or neere to a place called Dungulph which was in the first yeare of the rebellyon & before the 10th of Nouember 1642: The deponents cause of knowledge is for that the said Jesper did frequently Resorte vnto the Collonell William Brownes howse to Malrankan (where the deponent kept for safeguard of her life) with which Collonell Browne the said Jesper was accustomed to talke & Consulte about the carrying on of the Irish designe against the english And the deponent further saith that she heard the said Jesper to relate in the said first yeare of the rebellyon that he the said Jesper was one of the partie that killed some of the english at or neere Dungulph, at which killing he the said Jesper receiued some fall or bruise, whereof he then Complayned And the deponent further saith that the said Jesper was among the <s> Irish at the fight of Ballibegg neere Rosse siding with the Rebells against the english, as this deponent was informed by his the Jespers Relacion but the certayne number of the english killed at or neere Dungulp as aforesaid & the precise time the deponent knoweth not & further cannot depose
