John Connicke of Maglasse yeoman aged fiftie yeares or there abouts being duely sworne & examined saith Concerning the said Jesper Prendergast that he being a souldyer in Captain Thomas Rosceters Company in the first yeare of the rebellyon at the <w> seige layd by the engl Irish against the english in Duncanon at which seige the said Jesper was present & in Armes: And the deponent further saith that about Easter after the rebellyon brake <forth> a partie of the english out of the said forte hauing issued to a place called Dungulph & made seaverall shots against the same

which shots being heard at the Camp at shelbeggan a partie of the Irish then lying there drew forth with whom the deponent did see the said Jesper Prendergast mounted on a white gelding & Armed with a pole axe & sword to march in their Company the said Irish having met with the english partie, killed some of them & one Leiutenant Treuisoe their Comander & after at the Returne of the Irish party (soe killing the english) to the Camp at shelbegan the deponent did see the said Jesper come with them vnto the said Camp & as the deponent was informed by the souldyers in that seruice the said Jesper was one of the men that helped to kill the <x> foresaid Leiutenant Treuisoe & the english aforesaid, the Number of men killed or the Irish that informed the deponent as aforesaid, he doth not remember onel & further Cannot Depose
