The examinacion of Thomas Rosceter of Hobbinstowne yeoman aged about twenty eight yeares taken vpon oath on the behalfe of the Comonwealth Concerning William Hore of Harperstowne in the Countie of wexford esquire
<To the 1st interr> The deponent saith that he knoweth & hath seen the said William to liue at Harperstowne in the County of wexford in the Irish quarters in the first & other <I> yeares of the rebellyon & did not remooue into the english quarters &c his cause of knowledge appeares for that he did see the said william at his habitacion as aforesaid
<To the 2d inter> Hee cannot depose
<To the 3d & 4th inter> The deponent saith that he being the deponent being a souldyer in Captain Thomas Rosceters of Rathmacknees Company did see the said william Hore & Anthony Hore his sonne on horse backe with swordes by their sides as neere the tower of Hooke at Redmonds hall when and where one hundred of the english or thereabouts were killed, by the Irish then in <k> Armes, which Came from Bourkstowne vpon hearing the shot between the english & the people of Redmondshall at which Bourkstowne the deponent did see the said william & Anthony who marched with the said Irish party to Redmonds hall where the english were killed & where the said william & Anthony were present & in Armes as aforesaid which killing was to the deponents perfect & certaine knowledge vpon St Margarets day in July after the rebellyon brake forth: And further the deponent being demanded what Comand the said william & Anthony had at that fight saith that he knowes of none neyther heard of any Comand that they or eyther of them had but were there as priuate gentlemen
