Edmond Synnot late of Garriniske gentleman aged twentie seauen yeares or thereabouts Deposeth concerning the foresaid Phillip Hill of Glascarrigg gent deceased That the said Phillip dwelt at Glascarrigg aforesaid & elsewhere in the Irish quarters the whole time <q> of the Rebellyon without remoouing himselfe into the english quarters as Sir Walsingham Cooke knight & other protestants in them partes did And further saith That the Deponent did see the said Phillip at diuers publicque meetings of the Irish held at Ballaghkeen & elsewhere in and for the said Barronie of Ballaghkeen for seauerall yeares of the said Rebellyon at which meetings they the Irish vsed to consulte & aduise of their carrying on their Designes relating to the warre And further saith that the said Phillip hauing after the reducement of wexford submitted to the english gouernment & embraced the protecion of his highnes extended to all peaceable folke & taken vpon him the applotting & raysing of moneys for and in the behalfe of the english Armie & Interest (some of which money this deponent hath seen him paie to Cap: Seabrooke an officer of the english Armie guarrissoned at Ballaneclash) he the said Phillip violating his protection

forsooke his obedience to and dwelling vnder the english protecion & gouerment & betooke himselfe to and Joyned with the Irish partie & being taken as a Spye Coming from Carnow then guarrissoned by the Rebells was executed <r> or hanged by Collonell Cooke as the deponent hath credibly heard by the relacion of the said Phillips neighbours, and further saith not &c
