The examinacion of Nicholas Stafford Esquire Concerning the aforesaid Robert Haie of Tecumshey.
<To the 1st Interr> saith: That the said Robert Haie lived in the the yeare 41 on his Estate in the County of Wexford & vntill the tyme of his death which was about the yeare <c> 42 being in the Irish quarters, & saith that hee might haue removed into English quarters at the begining of the warre as Mr Codd Mr Waller both protestants did who were his neighbours & seuerall other English of this County.
<To the 2d> Cannot depose
<To the third Interr> saith: That the said Robert Haie did <d> in the ffirst yeare of the warre & before 10o No: 42 Actually contribute & Consent to the raising of fforces in money & provisions of warr
<To the 4th Interr> saith That the said Robert did in the first yeare Act in the warr as a private gent & was some <E> tymes present with the fforces that laie against duncannon
<To the 5th> saith, That the said Robert was about the yeare 42 with the Irish Armie at Ballebegg when <f> the Lo: of Ormond beseiged Rosse, where the said Robert was killed his cause of knowledge is for that hee was never since heard of
<To the 6th> cannot depose
<To the 7th> saith, That hee is Confident the said Robert did take the oath of Associacion otherwise hee <g> wold not haue beene admitted to any place of trust

<To the 9th> saith That the said Robert was of the County Councell Anno 41
<To the 10th> cannot depose

<To the 11th> saith That Mr Nich: Codd, Mr Adam Waller Mr Nich: Rowe, Mr Burges & Mr Walter Stafford all protestants did not live farr from the said Robert Haie, All which fled at the begining of the warrs some of which since dyed & others are nowe living in their former dwellings

<To the 12th Interr> saith That the said Robert Haie did in the ffirst of the warr take into his Custodie & possession some Corne in Sheafe belonging to Mr Codd Nich: Codd a protestant, As also some Sheepe & a guelding of the said Mr <I> Codds, but this deponent heard it was in trust & by the directions of the said Codd himselfe before or about the tyme the said Codd left the Countrye.
