The Examinacion of Nickolas Stafford Esquire taken on behalfe of the Commonwealth concerninge Nickolas Rochford aforesaid
<to the 1st interro> Hee saith That the said Nicholas did in the <h> yeare 41 & live in the towne of wexford & all along till hee was killed at the storming thereof
<To the 2d Interr> Cannot depose
<To the 3 & 4 Interr> hee saith That the said Nicholas was in Armes the first yeare of the yeare warr acting in the warr against the English & was present with the forces of the County <I> before Duncanon, his cause of knowledge is That hee this deponent mett the said Rochford about Christmas after the warr in his march to Duncannon aforesaid with the number of one hundred Armed men from the aforesaid towne of Wexford or thereabouts
<To the 5th & 6th> cannot depose
<To the 7th> hee saith That the said Nicholas tooke the oath of Associacion
<To the 8th> cannot depose
<To the 9th> saith That the said Nicholas was a Captain in the aforesaid towne of wexford for <k> seuerall yeares of the yeare warr & vntill the Lo: Cromwell tooke the same, at which tyme hee was slayne
<To the rest> deposeth not
