Melcher Stafford of Wexford gent deposeth Concerning the aforesaid Nicholas <m> Rochfort
That the said Nicholas was in Armes at the begining of the Rebellion for the Irish against the English & had a Company of Townesmen in Wexford within the first yeare whom hee ledd & comanded as a Captain & was at duncanon with his Company to ioyne with the Irish against the English there at the first of the warrs & had an intention (with others) to haue surprized a shipp riding at Ballehack wherein the Lady Colclogh & some English had ymbarqued themselues & goods for flight, as this deponent hath credibly heard
