The Examinacion of Nickolas Stafford Esquire taken on the behalfe of the Comonwealth concerninge the aforsaid John Roch
<to the 1st interro> this deponent sath that the said John did liue at Bryans towne in the first yeare of the warr and many yeares since the said place <o> beinge in the Countye of Waxford and all then the Irish Quarters and sath that the said John might haue remoued hime selfe in the begininge of the warr as many English did
<to the 2 interro> he can not depose
<to the 3o interro> this deponent sath that he doth verylye beleiue that the said John did actually contrebute in the taxes of this County to the raisinge of men and mony for the Irish forces and was as this deponent <p> alsoe beleiueth of the meletia an or forces raised in this Countye in the said first yeare of the warr
<to the 4th interro> this deponent sath that the said John did acte in the warr the first yeare and did Joyne with other forces in the somoninge and taken of Tinctteron in the forsaid County <q> then defended by the English against the Irish
<to the 5th interro> this deponent sath that the said John Roch was with the Irish armye at the batle of Linches Knocke and at seauerall other <r> mettings and seruices in order to promote the warr against the English
