Edward Synnot of Roslare yeoman aged about forty foure yeares being sworne & examined touching the said Thomas Rosceter late of Rathmacknnee esquire saith that the said Thomas was a Captayne of a foote Company in the first yeare of the <s> rebellion & to this deponents knowledge the said Captain with his Company consisting of about eighty men marched fr{om} the barrony of forte where they were raysed against the forte of Duncannon then kept by the Lord Esmond the said & came with the said Company to Bourkstowne (who were all Armed with pikes & musquets) to Bourkstowne about two miles distant from the said forte vpon the 28th day of March after the rebellyon brake forth in the yeare 1642: And further the deponent saith that the said Rosceters Company were present at the killing of Lieutenant Treuisoe & a partie of the english to the Number of fifteen about the howse of Dungulp at which killing the deponent verily beleiues the said Captain Rosceter was present & further saith that the said Company were at the killing of the english at the Hooke and at the killing of another partie of the english at or neere Ramsgrange whether the said Captain Rosceter was with the said Company at the two last killi places the deponent cannot remembe{r} The deponents cause of knowledge is for that the deponent was sergeant to the said Company at and a long time after the raysing thereof
