The Examinacion of Edward Synnot of Dungulp gent aged about thirtie one yeares taken vpon oath on the behalfe of the Comonwealth Concerning Donnogh ô Breine of Ballinturnor in the barronie of Scarewailsh & Countie of wexford gentleman vpon the Interrogatoryes Exhibited on the behalfe of the Comonwealth
<To the 1st Inter> The Examinant saith & Deposeth that the said Donnogh dwelt at Ballinturnor & other partes of his owne Estate in the said barronie & Countie in the Irish quarters the first yeare of the Rebellyon & since <b> without remoouing himselfe into the english quarters as Sir Morgan Mr Stannop & other protestants in that barronie & at Eniscorthy did remooue for preseruacion of their lifes: The Deponents cause of knowledge is for that the said Donnogh dwelt within three miles or thereabouts to Clonemullin the where this deponent Dwelt with Sir Morgan Cauanagh as his seruant
<To the 2d Inter> Hee cannot depose
<To the 3d Inter> The deponent saith That he is very well assured that the said Donnogh did contribute moneys & prouisions towardes the maintenance of the Irish forces the said first yeare & since the deponent <c> well knowing that a man of good substance as the said Donnogh was, Could not decline the payment thereof
<To the 4th & 5th Inter> The Deponent saith That he did see the said Donnogh on horsebacke & in Armes Riding with and accompanying Sir Morgan Cauanagh knight the grand actor of the warre in that parte of the <d> Countrey, in his goeing to & from the publique meetings of the said barronie held sometimes at Cloghamon & other partes of the said barrony at which meetings the deponent did see the said Donnogh personallie present & in Armes with the said Sir Morgan in manner aforesaid, but of any office or place the said Sir Donnogh had
