The Examinacion of Edward Synnot of Dungulp gent aged thirtie one yeares or thereabouts taken vpon oath on the behalfe of the Comonwealth Concerning Art oge ô Bryan of Kilcullin in the barronie of Scarewailsh & Countie of wexford gentleman vpon the Interrogatoryes &c
<To the 1st Inter> The Examinant Deposeth & saith That the said Art oge dwelt at Kilcullin in the barronie & Countie aforesaid in the Irish quarters without remoouing himselfe thence into the english quarters as the english & protestants that dwelt at Eniscorthy & in the said barronie thet first y e yeare of the rebellion did: His cause <w> of knowledge is for that the said Art d w did frequentlie Resorte to Sir Morgan Cauanagh the deponents then master & dwelt nigh him for some yeares of the said Rebellyon
<To the 2d Inter> Hee cannot depose
<To the 3d Inter> The deponent saith That he verily beleiues the said Art oge did quarter souldyers & contribute <x> monyes and prouisions towardes the maintenance of the Irish forces in Armes against the english in the said first yeare of the warre
<To the 4th & 5th> The Deponent saith That he conceiueth the said Art did act & abet the Rebellion in the first yeare thereof for that the said Art was frequently & much in fauour with Sir Morgan Cauanagh the cheife actor in that parte of the Countie of the Rebellion, & that this Deponent hath seen the said Art oge weare Armes & Ride in Companie with the said Sir Morgan to & from Wexford & other partes & places of the Countie aforesaid in the said first yeare of the said Rebellyon & moreouer the Deponent did see the said Art at the meetings of the Irish held in the said barronie in that yeare in order to aduise of the Management of their designes Relating to the forwarding the said Rebellyon against the english The
