The Examinacion of Edward Synnot of Dungulp gent aged about thirtie & one yeares taken vpon oath on the behalfe of the Comonwealth Concerning Edward ô Breine of BallemcDonnogh Reigh in the barronie of Scarewailsh & countie of wexford gent &c vpon the Interr &c
<To the 1st Inter> The Examinant Deposeth & saith That the said Edward ô Breine dwelt at BallemcDonnogh Reigh in the barronie & Countie aforesaid in the Irish quarters <f> within or about a mile to Clonemallin the dwelling of Sir Morgan Cavanagh to whom the Deponent was seruant And that the said Edward did not remooue thence into the english quarters as Mr Stannopp a protestant & other english & protestants that dwelt in & neere that barronie did
<To the 2d Inter> Hee cannot depose
<To the 3d Inter> The Deponent saith That he confidentlie beleiues the said Edward did according his substance and <g> abillitie contribute his share & proporcion of the publicque Leuyes for maintenance of the Irish forces then the first yeare of the Rebellion and since for that it was an vniuersall thing
<To the 4th & 5th Inter> The Deponent saith That he beleiues the said Edw: did doe his endeauour to act & promote the said Rebellyon for that he the deponent did see the said Sir <h>Morgan Edward frequentlie with Sir Morgan Cauanagh at his owne howse & goeing in his companie in Armes sometimes on horsebacke othertimes on foote to the publicque meetings of the Irish held at Cloghamon & elsewhere in the said barronie in the said first yeare of the Rebellyon but what office the said Edward had the Deponent knoweth not & nor of any other of his actings & further cannot depose &c
