The examination of William Stafford Gentleman taken on the behalfe of the Comonwealth Concerninge ffrancis Talbot of Waxford Esquire desessed and Concerninge Walter Talbot his sonne and heire now dwellinge in the Horetowne in the Countye of Waxford
<to the first interro> Sath that the said ffrancis and Walter did in the first yeare of the warr liue in the towne aforesaid and for many yeares after beinge in the Irish Quarters and might haue remoued thi meselfe themselues and ffamelye as other <y> English did into the English Quarters but that the said ffrancis did beleiue that this Countye would not haue been inuoled in the warr as [ ] as the said ffrancis informed this deponant and further saith that the said ffrancis liued and dyed a protestant and that the said Walter p ro Continued a protestant was and is a papist and vnder aige when his father dyed which was anno 1647 or thereabouts
