Art Breine alias Art mc Teig of Eniscorthy yeoman aged thirty eight yeares or thereabouts being duely sworne & Examined Concerning the said Hugh ô Breine gent deceased saith and Deposeth That hee well knew the said Hugh for that he frequently resorted to Eniscorthy the place of this deponents habitacion: And further saith That this Deponent did see the said Hugh with sixty men (or thereabouts) in Armes in his Company and vnder his Comand (he being their Captayne Come to Killkennallan neere Eniscorthy aforesaid and about December 1641 and from thence with force and Armes did take driue & Carry away a great Number of Cowes and sheep of the proper goods of walter Lacie (then a protestant) he the said Lacie being at that time in the possession of the Castle of Eniscorthy defending the same against the Irish: And <e> further saith that the said Hugh went to Ballibegg neere Rosse with his said Company & Joyned with the Irish Armie in fighting against the english, where he the said Hugh was killed, as this deponent was credibly certifyed by some of the Irish party that returned from the said fight and further saith not &c
