Thomas Deorane of Eniscorthy yeoman aged thirty fiue yeares or thereabouts being duely sworne & examined Concerning the foresaid Gerrald ô Breine & Bartholomew <k> ô Breine his brother saith and deposeth That the said examinant was seruant to the aboue deponent Jonas Rushworth in the beginning of the rebellyon, and was in the said Jonas his howse defending the same at the time the said Gerrald and Bartholomew, with twelue or fifteen men in their Companyes, hauing plundered the howse of Andrew Plummer a protestant & brought the goods that they found therein in the shadow of the deponents Masters howse to avoyd the shots that were made against them out of the said Castle of Ensicorthy did strike at the doore of the deponents Masters said howse in a violent
