The examinacon of Capt Abraham Hill taken before vs the last day of November 0652
The sayde Capt Abraham Hill beinge duely sworne and examined deposeth and sayth that he was present on saturday before Shrovetyde in the yeare 1641 when Capt Edmond ffennell with <A> a greate Company party of horse and foote and there Came into the Cuny borrowe att Lismore and that this deponent went oute with his Coronett Robert Douneinge and what horse they had att Lismore then the sayde ffennell did Call for the officer in Cheife [ ] to Change a brrase of bulletts with him and he goeinge to meete him lade and there beinge an Ambush lade and imediately shott the sayde Coronett Douneinge & soe whereby hee fell from off his horse and then [ ] the party was forced to retreate to theire Garyson of Lismore and ffurther sayth not
