The Examination of Thomas Kirney of Cashell in the County of Tipperary taken the 27th of August 1652.
This Examinet Sworne & Examined saithe he is aiged Thirty six yeares or theyr abouts & that he saw Coll: <A> Phillip Dwyer & his party Came into Chell Cashell aforesaid one the 31th of A u gust Desember 1641. & that being inquisetiue after the Murthers then Commited he hard that mr Beane was Killed by James Roch of ballygriffin: & that John Dwyer of Knockgormond Killed the said Beanes Osler. & that the said Roch attempted to Kill Mr Gwine betwene his (the Examinents Armes) whos life was Graunted him for a new yeares gifte the said Roch allso with his Sword Did Strike att a woman & Cut of one of her fingers this Examinet allso saith that he preseruid Mr Gwine Rowland Linsy & his wife & John Hicky & his wife as did others of his naybors in Cashell preserue seuerall others of the English who had otherwis Perished & further saith not.
