<1652> The Examination of Geffery Sall of Cashell in the County of Tipperary taken before vs the 27th of August
This Examinant aiged 35 yeares or theyr abouts sworn & Examined saith that he liued in Cashell aforesaid and that in the begining of the rebelion in when Cashell was <A> taken by Coll: Phillip Dwyer the 31th of Desember 1641, & that he herd that William Beane was was Murtherd by one James Roch of ballygrifin & that he herd that <Teige boy ô Mulryan> John Lincy was Killed by Knogher boy o Mulryan ô Mol[ryan] & Tege boy bretheren of Polevarla: & that Thomas a Sadler was Killed by William mc Phillip Dwyer of Ardmaille: & further saith that when the English were Convoyd from Cashell to Clonmell towards watterford theyr was a Boy in amongst the sayd English which was Killed by the way about a myle from Cashell by one John Herik & Donagh Dwyer of that Company of <B> the which Pattrick Boyton was Capt & Peirce Boyton leftenant & Robert Boyton Ensine which Company had the Convaying of English as aforesaid in which Company the Examinants Saw the said partys for 6 munths after During which time notwithstanding the Examinet herd them often spooken of for the Murther aforesayd yet did he neuer see or heare them to be punished or questioned for the same, & further saith he Credibly heard that one Phillip mc Thomas Dwyer of ballymoony Killed att Cashell one Banister a Minester before the sayd Coll: Dwyers Entring of Cashell aforesaid neare the well without the gatte & further saith that the 3 sonns of Phillip mc Shane of Clonoulty were very Actiue in the Murthers of Cashell aforesayd & Joyned with Phillip mc grath of bleane in his bloody actions and murthers att that time & And
