Saith thatt in the month of January 1641 This Examinatt then Liwing att Callin in the County of Tiperery and The Rebellion Breaking owtt This Examinatt with many others was Constrained To fly for safty vnto The Castle; Their Came The Lord off Castill Conell and Did beseige The said Castle as did Appeere by his hand to the somon{s} sentt Into The Castle; and the second night hee ffell intoo Som Owtt Howses neer Adoyning to the Castle wherin this Examinatt an{d} <A> others had some Horses and serwantts, and Tooke Away all the Hor{ses} and our serwants and as They Themselues reported did Hang too off Them, and Released the rest, being most Ierish, and then they went Away for thatt time, and Aboutt the 17 of march fowloing Ther Came Against The same Castill; som other forses Camanded By William Bwrke off poletts Towne in the County off Limbringe and Derby raines of Solohod and mc Brian off Coona and ther Cept ther seige; (Till neer Lamis) and then Rose and went Away (as wee supposed) and when wee Cold nott see them for To Dayes; wee wentt owtt being saterday too fetch in som Corne which Corne wes Browght in withowtt Any { }pose and one the munday Ther wentt owtt ovpward off 50 men wemen and Chilldrin To fech some more Corne; butt some of the Afoarsaid seige Lay in Ambush and ffell vpon vs in Three or fower sewerall places and Killed Thirty ffower Persons (viz) Jo Coach and his wiff Balldin Dun and His wiff; Will Simes His dawghter and his son; Josios Broom, phill bellringer Jo Joane{s} Jo Steewens (A miller) Alce Brown and her sister and dawghter <B> Rich Pwllin An Blake Marin Washer; Darkos washer, Elisibeth Whitt Joan Brown Margrett Brown; Robert Bush; Mary phillain with soe many others as make vp The Afoarsaid number which wear slain by The fforses Aforsaid Amongts whome was more the{n} formerly named Thatt was Know to this Examinatt Jo A Hind
