The Examination of Math: Haly Taken the 6o of November 1652.
Sayth that hee was A Tennant to Mr Waters of Cullin, and that hee was afterward A Seruant to Lt Collonel Bourke att the seige of Cullin, and that the Night before the men were Killed whoe Came out of the Castle, his Master Lt Collonel Bourke, and hee this Examinant were goinge from Kilfeeny where the Campe Lay to Cullin, and the said Lt Collonel with others went to fast for him this Examinant whoe was left three Miles Short of Cullen with his said Masters Wagon. and the next day went to his said Master and mett him vppon the Lands of Pollardstowne walkinge to and fro. hee sayth that his said Master was Abroad that day on which the people were killd. before hee this Examinant Came home As all the people att home tould him butt wheather hee was att Cullen or nott he knoweth nott, because hee did nott see him there. hee sayth hee dooth nott remember that his said master was sicke, duringe the time of that seige and further hee sayth nott.
