The Examination of Mr. Thomas Barry of Muckries in the Barrony of Ibane about 46 yeares of age taken the 21th of September 1652:/.
<Sayeth:> That in the first yeare of the warres this Examinatt remembreth that one Thomas Linchcome & his wife & sister & in lawe & a man & Maide servantts came into the Custody of William Oge Ohey for their better safely Ab And that about August (as this Examinantt Remembreth) the said Linchcome with his wife &c: were putt to death by John McWilliam Ohey, and daniel Sarcina and <A> ffylemy Sarcina (As he was informed) And further sayeth, that he was informed that one weeks was Murthered by one Owen Boy Carthy of Raph Barry: And this Examinantt further sayeth That one Clerke (an Englishman as he Judgeth) that married an En Irish woman, was hanged by Captain John Oge Barry neare donowin, the pretence was, for ste some stealths that the foresaid Englishman should Committ: And this Examinant further sayeth that one Berryman an English man was hanged by to Ohay’s Castell, by one Munghane (as he is informed) And further sayeth that it was by the apointementt (as he heard) of Leiwtenantt John O hay in Coll: fflorence Mc Carthy’s Regiment. And further sayeth not:
