The Examinacion of Mr Teige O’Hay taken the 11th of September: 1652
<Sayeth> That in the first yeare of the warres he remembreth that he heard it generally reported in the Country that John Oge Barry with a party of the Irish tooke some of Mr Barhams people prisoners amongst whome was John Rich & seuerall others whose names he knowes not, & that about that tyme there was one one Berryman an Englishman hanged about a quarter of a Myle from <A> this Examinants Castell, but by whose order he knoweth not, but (as this examinant heard & doth verily beleiue) it was one dearmond Munghane that hanged him: And further sayeth this Examinantt further sayeth, touching the Murther of Thomas Linchcome that he was kept prisoner at the house by William Oge O hay aboute the space of five or six months with his wife, parte of his family, & much goods, And as this Examinantt was informed, was aboute the tyme aboue specified put to death by the said William Oge O hay & Phillipp Shanohane, And further sayeth that he heard that Linchcomes wife was afterward sent towards kilbrittaine with a convoy & was murthered by the way, but by whome he cannott tell, And this Examinant further sayeth <B> that he heard it generally reported in the Country that Maccnacrimine & his eldest sonne ffynnyn hanged one John Burrowes, his wife, & a sonne about a dozen yeares of age: & further he sayeth not
