Teige Sullevant of Connagh in the County of Corke yeoman beinge duely sworne and examined deposeth and sayth in and Concerneinge the Quarter of Coole that he was present att Coole with his Maister Henry Smyth when the Irish enemy Came to them and when the enemy had rounded the house, this deponent haueinge Irish they Troope then in the house desyred him to Call for quarter whereupon he Called for quarter and quarter was graunted them by divirs and then they deliuered vpp theire Armes and immediately after; att theire Comeinge out of the doores the enemy fell vpon them & murdered them all, exceptinge this deponent Charles fflyn, Robert Barry and David Welsh whoe were Carryed prysoners to Cloghleigh and that imediatley after as he heard Charles fflyn was hanged, and ffurther sayth not.
