The deposicion of Captain Maurice Murphy beinge duely sworne and examined deposeth and sayth, that he heard that from Andrew Lasy whoe onely made an escape from Coole quarter haueing att the Least thirty twoe wounds, and that he tould this deponent that the enemy Came in to the towne <A> with theire Scouts and proffered asked them whether they would take quarter or noe whoe aunswered that they would wherevpon quarter (as the sayd Lasy) related) were graunted unto them for their liues and then they do By John Condon & Richard Condon of Ballydergyn and then they deliuered vpp theire Armes out of a windowe then the sayde Condons sayde Come Came out, wherevpon the sayde Richard Condon fell vpon them imediately but the sayde John Condon sayde stopp your hand for itt is very uniust & againe lawe & Justice after quarter to kill them yett since yow haue begunn prosequute itt And further sayth not
