The Examinacion of Shely Roch of Aghallaname about 60 yeares of age taken the 20th of September 1652
<Sayeth:> That in the first yeare of the Rebellion that a young maide one deborah fford came downe from Iniskeyne Castell to this Examinantts house with a letter from Lieutenant Berry to this Examinantts husband about some Barley that he owed to the said Berry, And the next <A> morneing after, there came foure or five soldiers, (vizt) donnough mcdonnell, knougher mc daniel Cruoly, and Edmond mc donnell Cruoly all dead as she sayeth, And daniell O Soolivan who is yet aliue, but where she knowes not: And tooke away the said deboragh fford about Muskett shott from this Examinantts house & there hanged her: And this Examinatt being further demanded whither One John Smyth had some goods, whither the said deborah had some Cloaths there Answereth that there was some goods of John Smiths put in her husbands hands, but whither deborah had any cloaths or noe shee knowes not. And further sayeth not.
