The Examinacion of Katherine Macrrey Carty taken vpon oath the 10th of Sept: 1652
Saith that in the first yeare of the Rebellion, & at the very first beginning, shee sawe & there came to her house, at the manchee, one Andrew Barcum and <A> one ffulbrookes an Englishmans Boy about 14 yeares of age, & another Englishman whom shee knoweth not, and this Examinant saith, that they Came thither by permission of their keeper, who came with them to seeke for a litle meat, and the next day, they were Carried thence, and shee farther saith that shee knew not what Became of them afterwards, but heard that they were all hangd, And this Examinant being demanded whether shee did remember not tell Richard Shute, in the first cessacion, that ffulbrookes boy was at her house, & shee said that he would eat no meat for Cryeing, and that McCarty Coming by, caused the said Boy to be hang’d, shee Answereth that shee doth not well remember it.
