<D> <6> <symbol> John Roche of Conury aged 40 yeares or thereabouts, being sworne & examined saith he knew there was an assembly of irish the first yeare of the warrs at Bellgooly neare Kinsale this deponent did seeth Mr John Long, Phillip Barry og of Ringcorran James Roche of Conury James Mellafont of waters land, & his sonne William & two sonnes more & diuers of the Chiefe of the Irish gentry of these parts thenn and saith he knew Robert Beer of Oyster hauen & his wife, & two of their children the said Robert & his wife fetched from their dwelling by two some soldiers the & carryed to Be belonging to the foresaid assembly, & carryed them to Bellgooly where they were both hang’d & the cause of this deponents knowledge is that he was then dayly at the said assembly but did not see them executed & further saith that he is very confident being that theat said Beers two children were carryed from their fathers dwelling to the Rocke neere Kennury & throwne ouer the cliff bu t & he was credibly informed that this was don by Morris McEdmond Roche neer Kinsale & teage o Colloman, the said Morris McEdmond now liues at Cunmury & the said Colloman is dead alsoe this deponent saith there was one Pasqua hanged at Bellgooly at the said time & further saith not
