The Examinations off Phill O Ringe Aged fifty years being sworne and Examined
Saith att the begining of the warrs he Liwed att Mackroom { } from theire to Blarny by the L. of M u skree to be vnder the Comand off Capt. J{ o McWilliam} oge, and donoh รด reardon was his Ensign, and being att {Blarny} This Examinantt hard Thatt Mrs Hussy and som others { of their} neighbowers wear going To Cork; did speak vnto Patr{ick Tompe}To goe Along with this Examinantt which Hee did, and wentt To the way thatt Leads ffrom mackrom to Courk{e to meete} with the said Mrs Husy and the rest of her neigh{bours Hee} mett with dono oreardon The Ensign who A{sked this } Examinatt whether hee was Goinge whoe To{ld him to} see Mrs Husy, before shee wentt to Corke; whoe {Answered} That shee was gone by and was att Cork by that time soe This Examinatt Torned backe with the Ensign Blarny and when night Came to sett the watch Th{is examinante} was Corporall of the Gawrd that night and Lookin{ge for} som s{oul}diers That was wanting vpon the Gar{ de} when he went the roundes Donoh Long and som others whose name hee {remembreth} nott he ffond the said donoh Long In A hous{e drinkinge } And This Examinatt Caled Him owtt to Com to {his gward } butt He Ernestly disiring This Examinatt to { come in to} drink with hime butt hee refused and wold n{ot awaie} withowt hime; butt After much Adoe He Came ou{t and} was sett vpon his Post to watch; and then this Exam{inant} { } to the Howse from whence hee fecth the Souldiers and A{sked} the woman why she wold lett hime haue Any drink{ } he knew hee had noe mony Then she shewed mee som{e} Clothes Thatt hee the said Longe had Browght In, a{nd} when This Examinantt saw them he knew Them too bee the Clothes of Mrs Husy then going to the Gawrd to one Morto oreardon, to know whoe was the Conue{ } they had killed Mrs Husy, and her Children, (oh S{aid the} said Morto) itt is Trew and I Cold nott for lett them; { } he Asked The said Longe iff hee was one tha{t killed them,} and he said he was; and then this Examinant Ask{ } to shew him wher they did Lye and soe hee did and Then wentt and Burid them hawing the help off Patrick { }
