Ellizabeth White aged fforty yeares or thereabouts beeinge duely sworne & Examyned deposeth as followeth
That shee lyved in the Castle of Cahirdawgan when the same <A> was surprised about the moneth of Aprill in the yeere 1644 (as shee beleeueth) by his Redmond Roche esquire and his adherents, whoe claymed the saide Castle as his owne, shee further saieth, that at the said tyme of the surprisall one Dermod ô Brother a protestante that then lyved in the said Castle was shott & killed by on the bridge neere the said Castle by onePhelim one of the Irish party <B> Shee saieth that about an howre after the Castle was surprised shee sawe Redmond Roch John Roch of Ballynamony & his soune Moroice Roch Redmond Dannan some of the Garvans and some of Garrett Nagles sonns there of the party shee saieth that the saide Castle was plundered and that the <C> said Redmond Roche v Comanded her husband John Brice to delyver him, his money which her said husband did beeinge about thirty pownds, for the which hee hath Lately beene paid Tenn pownds thereof vnto her & given his bond for the other twenty pownds.
